Hey, I had the same ridiculous thoughts, too. If VW realized the original fix is not a fix afterall, you would think they would replace this through"good will". Unfortunately, I've yet to see any "good will" from VWOA for me, even on the headgasket lawsuit. Ok, I take it partially back. A local dealer gave me the air conditioner duct brackets when I showed him that mine didn't have them, even though VWOA had paid the dealership to perform the recall campaign. So I guess my "good will" not turning him in resulted in his "good will" to give me the parts that were supposed to be there anyway. Karl

Denys - Do you know if anyone has tried returning the first harness to VW for a free replacement? I know it is a ridiculous thought but stranger things have happened. Is this a dealer only part or do think Ron or Kyle might be able to get them? Derek |
