I saw a very nice looking T4 in Europe which not only had the double rear doors but had a very well integrated looking high roof extension. The double rear doors were also extra tall and extended up to nearly the top of the high roof. The best part was the rear windows also extended up that high. It looked like it had stand up headroom inside. Is this high roof with extended doors a standard factory option or was it a custom conversion?

This reminds me, has anyone seen a T3 Caravelle with 4 rows of seats? I have some European VW Transporter brochures from the mid and late 1980s which indicate a 12 passenger version was available. From the floor plan diagram it looked like the rear seat was moved farther back and legroom for all the seats behind the front seats was reduced to make room for 4 rows of seats. It appeared to only be available in the CL or lower versions.
