This reminds me, has anyone seen a T3 Caravelle with 4 rows of seats? I have some European VW Transporter brochures from the mid and late 1980s which indicate a 12 passenger version was available. From the floor plan >>

they made a highroof model at the factory.

also - i have maybe the same brochure.. it's an UK brochure, and it shows a picture of the "12 pass. minibus" apparently, they were exempt from the UK "car tax".... the people in the back are sittin over the engine access panel... talk about the "hot seat!!"
