........................................................... Hi,

Yes, do all that stuff the other posts suggested on 101.

Wm M.Tugman State Park is a favorite with us. We stopped for the night, ended up there for two days flying kites on the beach with the wildest kite enthusiasts.

Also, don't miss camping on Mount Diablo outside of San Fran.

We have done the 101 trip a couple of times. My son was twelve when he and I first made the trip. We will repeat it next summer, he is 26 now. One year we took four weeks to get to SFO, had to push our old 65 Westy hard on I-5 to make it back home to Vancouver BC in one day.

Now we cruise in our '87 Westy, use the A/C as a brake for going down long hills.

Also, highly recommended is the Cascade loop; highway 20 - Lake Chelan - Highway 2 (Or reverse).

Also, If you are handy to Washington State, or are planning to use I-5 to get south from Canada, Larabee State Park makes a great day trip. Get there before 2 pm on summer Fridays. No sweat all winter. Full hookups in the middle of the forest.
