<<<Again, I look to the list for suggestions . . .

<<<Has anyone placed a front license plate on a Westy with Chrome bumpers? Is there any sort of a kit for mounting a front license plate? I don't really want to drill holes in the front bumper. Suggestions?

Have someone make one that originates under the body and displays the tag in front of the bumper. there are plenty of holes under the front of the Vanagon already.

<<<Is there a trailer hitch wiring kit for the Vanagon out there? I don't really want to splice into the wires unless I have to.

Get a trailer light adapter for vehicles with amber/separate turn signals. Instead of splicing into the taillight wiring, get a set of alligator clips from Radio Shack. Crimp these onto the ends of the adapter wires and temporarily connect them onto the back side of the taillight connectors for what you need to do. Just pull the connector boot off of the back of the taiilight and there you are. It is better if you remove the taillight assembly first so that you can have room to work outside of the engine compartment. Working on the bumper surface is much easier.
