About 20 years ago I had the same problem getting an agreement on the value of my72 Scout II (International Harvester). Old time 4wd/truck drivers will recognize that this were about as rare as westies. My problem was compounded by the fact that the Air Force had me temporarily in N. Dakota and my agent/policy was in N. Carolina!

My solution: the policy stated something about repair/ or replace or renumerate at replacement value. They told me they got a estimated value from a local dealer. I told them that if they could find any even near equivalently equiped at that price, I would except that. Else payup what I had into the vehicle. I eventually won (~3 months). Persistance pays. Later experience taught me the value of a single letter from a lawyer.
