yup. but in 1986, the air conditioning was changed around, so if you ordered or wanted a Vanagon with A/C, you could NOT get the sunroof. after about 1986 or so, i've never seen one with a sunroof. i don't think VWOA brought any more into the country.

if you look at the roof of the Vanagon, you'll see some raised bumps in the roof. in the middle, the bump has a separation (a gap) close to the rain gutter. that's where the side of the sunroof was. front and back of the sunroof were almost to the edges of the other bumps.

well ... sorta. vw offered a front sunroof in europe, glass, with a pop-up. i've not seen any aftermarket ones available/offered in this country. :( i think maybe the curvature of the roof makes it unlikely there are any out there.
