fellow listees, have just seen a full length safari roof rack that will fit non westy vanagons. see the nov issue of petersen's 4wheel & off-road magazine @ page 169. it is sold by man-a-fre in ca (805-578-8712) and measures approx. 51x95 and is 6" deep. tubular steel that is powder coated. looks very similar to the rack on the land rover defender 110. i spoke w/ them yesterday and the rack has 4 raingutter mounts per side that are adjustable. it is 7.5" from the rain gutter to the bottom of the rack. they seem to be interested in working out a group deal if any one is interested. the list price is $535.00 but the problem is that it is not ups-able. for those of us on the right coast, this is a major problem. any interest?
