The van is still for sale, but it looks like we will have it with us for awhile. The positive wire leading to the starter fried and almost took the rest of the van with it. Now I have to arrange a tow truck to take it to the shop. The positive wire needs to be replaced and the starter selenoid needs to be looked at. Hopefully it is just the selenoid and not the starter itself. I was about to sell the vanagon at the next car show on nov. 2. Do you think the vanagon over-heard me talking about it? Quite the coincidence that it has never broken down and left me stranded for all the years i have owned it. Now that i have made up my mind to sell it, It leaves me hangin'. My son said last week" Dont sell her, She's alive". Hmmmm, makes one wonder. I do love the van, and me and my wife keep it looking new....
