Subject: Greetings, I'm back, Engine Swaps= Hot Rodding!!!

Hello everyone!

I'm back after a long hiatus. I almost lost my loyalty to vanagons, but now I'm investigating the feasibility of HOT RODDING A VANAGON! Like most of us, I'm tired of the sluggish accleration, power and handling of my vanagon and I am investigating how to put some V6-V8 engine in it, possibly even adding forced induction. Of course the only problem is the engine/transmission/drivetrain location, ugg..

I almost began to think of selling the van to buy a mustang 5.0, there's hotrodding right out of the box. But now its time to consider other methods.... (money is still a problem....im going to grad school, bye bye money!)

What have I missed in the past year or so? Has anyone heard of/done a nice powerful engine swap, and has anyone done any suspension modifications? Lowering ride height, disk rotor improvement??

Thanks alot for any help.

Drive Safely..
