Subject: '81 Vanagon won't start

To all you can help!

My van will not start. My mechanic does not know what is wrong. Please help!

If I just get in the van and try to start it, it will just turn over but will not fire up, but if I go into the engine compartment and unplug the airflow sensor it will start right up, with no problems. After it's running I just replug the sensor and drive away....What's going on....It's not a vacum leak.

If you have any ideas please let me know....

Thanks,

Peter Rosvall rosvall@nbnet.nb.ca
