Subject: Re: Ground strap from out of nowhere
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Sorry to leave out a few important details on my last posting; here goes:

I tried to hook this ad-hoc tranny ground strap to a bolt where the fuel injection stuff seems to be grounded (near the front passenger side of the engine compartment) to no avail. This is the nearest thing to a bolt on the frame as I can find given the length of the strap. I suppose the problem is actually where this thing is hooked up in thefirst place; nowhere that I hook the cable up to seems to work.

By the way, yes, I did do the old trick of putting some cardboard over the battery to insulate the battery posts from the metal battery compartment lid. Apparently the problem is not here. The ground strap for the battery seems to be in good shape and hooked up well. The alternator and starter were recently replaced by the PO.

I hope some of these "minor" details help to remove most of the ambiguity on this. If any of you can help, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance! -Sam __________________________________________________________________ Sent by Yahoo! Mail. Get your free e-mail at http://mail.yahoo.com
