Subject: Bumper re-enforcement & Power window kits?

Bumper: I was looking at a Westy where the owner had put in a steel bar somewhere along the rear bumper to guard against serious engine damage in case of a rear-ender. Does this seem like a good idea to y'all?

Power windows: Also, along the lines of a recent aftermarket AC question, has anyone had any experience with aftermarket (JC Whitney, ?) conversion kits for switch from manual to power windows / locks?....I'll explain later *why* anyone might want to do this %^)

thanks
