Alain Thibault asked today about alarm installation locations.


We just had an alarm installed 2 weeks ago in our 84 Vanagon.  (3 weeks ago
we had the stereo uninstalled surreptiously, but that's why we have
insurance.)  The installer put the siren under the Van, behind the front
bumper.  After the first rainstorm, it no longer worked properly.


It goes back in today for a more appropriate reinstallation.  It seems
clear to me that there should be room for the siren behind one or both of
the front grills.  Later today I'll know for sure and will post it.
