Subject: New Syncro Doublecabs...

Those lucky folks in Oz...

There were some questions on the list a bit ago about the *current* VW Syncros, and I see that sofcom has a T4 page up on their web site in Australia.

www.sofcom.com.au/4WD/VW/Transporter/T2.html

...with a nice new 1997 orange Syncro Doublecab Pickup.

The doublecab and the long-wheelbase versions seem to be the same chassis. Short-wheel-base Syncros are listed as $38,490 (Australian dollars, of course) the longs are $40,490 and the Doublecabs are $39,990 -- all Syncro model prices.

They have a page with some 16" T3 Syncros, too.

Tuesday's exchange rate to $US was .7369 -- they want $29,468 for that new Doublecab. Ouch. Fun to dream, though I think I'll stick to dreaming about the new Boxster.
