Greetings:

Having spent all my time lurking in the dark, I thought I would venture out and actually make a post to the list. My wife and I helped some friends move over the weekend, and our vehicles of choice were, of course, our Vanagons. Our friends had two matching '87 syncros and my '85 westy. My wife kept saying she felt out of place in her Audi wagon (but did enjoy passing us on the mountain pass). Most people don't notice one vanagon, but the three of us in convoy got more than a few looks. We got to their new apartment, and a neighbor came out and commented on the Vanagon convention. How appropriate.

I also wanted to thank the collective wisdom of this list. Even though I have not posted before, the information on the list is valuable by itself and has saved many of us time and frustration.
