It's gotten messy and cold here. We're now contending with snow and ice. My camping is done for this year. Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to best put my '84 Westy away for a winter "hibernation"? I've been offered space in a non-heated barn to store the bus. I'm thinking of the following: fill it with gas, wash and wax it, disconnect battery, overinflate tires, start it up every 3-4 weeks. The barn is in the country. Are there any holes/ducts/openings I should cover to keep mice and other furry creatures out? What else can I do to have a clean, healthy start next April? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you. Chris Holtz '84 Westy "Gromit" Halifax, Nova Scotia |
