I have an 86 syncro, and live in Maine. since the start of the cold weather season, I have had a cold start problem. The van will start almost instantly, but will not idle well for the first couple of minutes or more. It tries to idle around 500rpm for a while and then either dies or suddenly smoothes out and idles at around 1000rpm (normal). I took it to the local dealer and they replaced the harness that goes to the air intake etc. Of course they thought they had fixed it because it ran fine (the engine had warmed up). I'd appreciate any help I can get to solve this, I'm too cheap to enjoy giving money to the dealer! Thanks, Scott |
