Volks,
Thanks to all who responded w/tips on CVs before the List last went
down. I settled on having my mech do the deal due to having my wife
carless for 4-5 days otherwise.
To recount, my right rear CV was "thunking" more and more. I had the
mech pull the axles, regrease all four and install reversed. Problem
solved. I'll report how long this deal works.
My mech said he did the same on his 72 and said CVs good for another 20k
miles before blowing the entire van by hauling 12K lbs of telephone
poles 400 over miles.
