Last winter I was trying out my new snow tires on a very steep hill. I stopped facing down hill and reversed back up the hill. Even with the excellent tires (Hakkapallikka sp? 10s) if the vc was not working reverse I would have slide around at least some. I did not lose any traction whatsoever. IMHO the vc without a doubt should work in reverse.
