Malcolm, re-read my post, I worded it awkwardly. I said " spinning it and it turned with resistance", in other words it resisted my efforts to turn it. I guess I should have said it was difficult to turn. Bottom line, it's dead and I have to replace it, but the one being offered may not be any good either and I would like to have a way to check it before it goes into the Van. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
