I supplement the top pad with an 'egg crate foam' bedroll. I happened to gt one upon leaving the hospital once (but I think that they can be purchased at medical supply stores). I took an old sheet, wrapped it around the foam, sewed it up as if I were making a pillow case. During the day I roll it up-not very big-at night I roll it out.
