Any advice from you fellow listees on this would be appreciated TIA My 85 Westy with Digijet has the following problem; After driving at 60-65 for awhile and then coming to a stop (clutch in) the engine dies. Or if rather than coming to a stop, slow down to say 20'ish the engine surges from 1200 to 1600 RPM (which causes the van to buck badly). If while surging I simply push in the clutch and stop/restart the engine the surging goes away. Sooo any ideas??? I assume what is happening is that the ECU still thinks its at highway speed even after I slow down. This would explain why restarting the engine while rolling along clears the problem (the ECU gets reset). TIA for any ideas!!! Richard 85 Westy - Reno NV |
