Well, the job from hell is done. After the new three groove pulley was already in, I found out that the rear engine tin for the original single groove pulley is different from that of the triple groove pulley (the single pulley tin lacks the indentation to clear the extra wide triple groove pulley). Luckily, pack-ratting paid off and I had kept the engine tin from when I did my engine replacement last year. Out with the new tin, in with the old! Not an easy job at that, but it is complete. So, if anyone with the single groove pulley has to upgrade to a three groove pulley, please be aware that you will either need the rear tin from the triple groove variety or modify your existing tin.
