Since this had been putzing around on the Vanagon list, I just thought everyone might note that the January issue of VW Trends features a very nice informative install article on the Lock-Right in a 091 seeing service in their project Manx. The article is a bit short but the step by step captioned pictures are quite exceptional, a good 20-30 pictures at least, gives you a good idea of what you get and what it takes to put it in, the article features the 2 spider model which Chris Weddle seems to think is bulletproof for all but ridiculous high torque applications. A very nicely done article and I have to admit the technical quality of the air cooled mags is actually getting a lot better, hell nearly to the point where European Car should take note and start publishing some hard numbers instead of tricked out BMW's with big stereos. As to driving it, they note that handling is "effected" but don't qualify it much and note that the Manx is an offroader anyway, make a claim though that snow country people use and appreciate the conversion.
