Subject: Phantom wire

Has there been an improved version of the "phantom wire" patch to the AFM? I have heard of one but never confirmed it. My Syncro is doing the dying thing, killed while driving, the tach needle dropped to zero, then started back up. Was fine for about 5 minutes then died again. This time it didn't restart and had to coast off to side of the road. Waited 2 or 3 minutes, it started up again and has been fine. I hope it is as simple as replacing the wire.
