Check the AC clutch relay. The contacts have a habit of welding closed and the AC clutch uses about 2 amps. This happened to my van about 1-1/2 years ago. Luck I didn't damage AC from compressor turning with out radiator and evaporators fans running. Problem caused me to get stuck with a dead battery a few times until I realized what was happening.
