I researched these. The nighthawk models are neat because Consumer Reports found them more accurate, and becasue they have a *digital readout* of co levels.

With a digital readout you can get a better idea of how quickly you are going to get into trouble, and you can play things closer to the line. You say, OK, if I sleep over night at this reading, I'll be very groggy in the morning, but if I just have dinner at this reading, I'll be ok. Or, I'll be able to stand this number fine but if Uncle Harrry sits in the van at this number too long I don't think he'll do too well given his medical condition. Stuff like that.
