Hello,

As some of you may know from my previous posts I am in the process of
installing a secondary battery to my '90 Westy. I pretty much have
everything in place, except for one thing. The battery!!

I tried this. Unless there is some kind of trick, this is not going to
work! If someone can explain in more detail I'd be much obliged.

A solution proposed by James Matthisen goes something likes this:

Drill two holes in the metal plate cover and use the side terminals and the
battery will fit. True the battery seems to fit, however, there is very
little room left, if any,  to mount the side terminals. How was this pulled
off with at most 1/4 inch of space for the side terminal connections and
bolt?

Ron Lussier proposed:

To saw off the top terminals and just use the side terminals. My question
is the same as above. How can side terminals be mounted with such little
space?

I will probab,y have more questions, but these seem most pertinent at the
moment.
