Mine¹s auto, too, and it seems to have no trouble getting to 65,75 and 80 on the highway without effort.

I don¹t know if it is because I am so happy to have the Westy or not, but even when I am going 35 or 40, it feels like I am speeding along.  :)

My other car‹ 89 Acura Integra ‹has a 5-speed stick, so I am used to driving a manual.  While I would have welcomed a stick shift in a Vanagon if only to get a Westy, I am delighted with the automatic.
