I'm searching for some new shoes for the Syncro (no name yet). I've called around and everyone tells me the BFGoodrich Baja T/A's 27/8.5/14 don't exist! But, I know some of you have them....Help?!

Also, a global thanks for the congratulatory welcomes from the many of yous for our new Syncro Westie. Thanks for sharing our excitement! I've been having e-mail problems of my own (other than the Vanagon List's) so that's why I've been so quiet the past few days.

I asked in an earlier post (from a different address) if it is possible to add a locking diff to a Syncro that came without one. Your responses indicate that it is possible. However, the most interesting response I received was from Tim Smith. Tim suggested I just use a set of tire chains, the good ones! Yowza! Sounds like a great idea, saving me both time, money, and pain!

Hasta!
