Steven:

Lighten up! I was merely listing what i saw as the positive and negative traits of the propex vs. the plat cat so that people could evaluate the two relative to their personal needs/wants. The propex is several times louder than the plat cat. that is a fact. so, relative to the plat cat, the propex is noisy....er. Noise is one consideration someone might want to weigh in evaluating or deciding between the two heaters. I believe i noted in the original post that the noise is not too bad, and that you get used to it. i never said that the propex is no good because it is too loud. to the contrary, i think it is a great heater, even if it is a little noisy.
