Yesterday, after my note ranting of my '86 GL performance I ran across a beautiful 91 Carat stick van with 65K miles on the clock. Now I want to talk reliability! Is this true that the auto is more reliable and cheaper to maintain than the stick? Should I run from a van with a trailer hitch on its tail?

I'm considering buying this van and selling my wife's showroom condition 93 Audi 100 (Tornado red, 26K miles). I'll then have an 86GL and a 91 Carat... Sounds cool but maybe stupid?

Advice please! Eric Small Dallas, TX
