I was the one that Joel described the process to.  I too, lost more
than  the 'cup' of antifreeze.  I think perhaps that, 1) I didn't shove
the sensor back in fast enough, or 2) it depends on the angle that the
van is parked when doing this.


All I did was add more, but I did bleed the system.  There was a good
amount of air in it.  In my case, I had just recently had a coolant
flush, so there was no reason to replace it all.
