I saw one of these loafs a few years ago. I had noticed it in the parking
lot of a local restaurant. At first glance it appeared to be an older van
with a new paint job. When I took a closer look I noticed the radiator in
the front. Then I began to investigate. I actually looked in the engine
compartment. Sure enough, there was what appeared to look like an inline
4cyl. VW motor. I was driving an '89 Golf GL at the time and the motor in
the van looked quite similar.

I also noticed that the van was from Mexico. It was in great shape. I think
it was hauling a soccer team around. I have always wandered if they made a
Westy like that.
