Subject: Mex. and Braz. Breadloafs (was: '98 Breadloaf (In Brazil))
Content-Type: text/plain

Hey Breadloaf-Fans, the MEXICAN Breadloafs were made up to '95/'96, they were watercooled, but NO Waterboxers, just Passat (Dasher, Audi Fox) engines, straight 4's, Power changing over the years, but around 90 HP (like a 1.9l Digijat), catalytic system. Sounds strange, will become warm inside in winter. A few (less than 20) are registrated in Germany, they met the 95 regulations with some anti noise modifications.

The BRAZILIAN Breadloaf is in production now (I've heard, with the old production-tools from Mexico) but aircooled again with a beetle-styled 1.6l engine, two carbs, power a little more than the old 1.6l Breadloafs/Beetles. Next year they are planing to make it watercooled again, but yet not clear with witch kind of engine. I think, they will take one of the usual straight 4's.
