Subject: clutch master cylinder

Hey all, Well, looks like my clutch master cylinder is on the way out.

I'd noticed this past summer that it leaks a bit but now it appears that the leak is getting worse. I figure I might as well replace it before it completely craps out. It works fine, it's just wet with brake fluid and a couple drops have made their way to the floormat.

I see Ron at Bus Depot has 'em for $60, anybody else got a better deal?

Ron, one day, I swear I will send those brake shoes and brake hardware kits back :-) -- been busy here, next week is finals week :-)

Reading up on the procedure in Haynes, it looks really easy (the replacement of the master cylinder, that is) tho it looks as if I will spill copious amounts of brake fluid in the process. And I'm sure bleeding it will be a blast.

Does anyone have any tips? Is it possible to bleed this thing just like bleeding the brakes or will I need some kind of pressure or vacuum bleeder?

TIA, Sean --
