Subject: EV Fuel Line Leak Warning......
Comments: cc: rb@tuxedo.ENET.dec.com

Thanks for the warning Ric. I have been smelling gas for some time now on my EV, and I just can't spot a leak anywhere. I can smell it only after I've been driving and come to a stop. Then it disappears after a few seconds. I've been wondering if it may be a vent line from the top of the fuel tank to the charcoal canister (behind left front wheel). The tank had been removed at one time (not to mention left suspension and transmission!) - to replace the coolant line to the rear heater. I don't think I smelled it before that. Now that I know how to access the top of the tank from inside, I should take a look. I'll also take another close look at area you mention, Ric.

I haven't seen any posting of this one before, so I figured I'd alert the EV troops out there.....
