Ok, this is sort of a can of worm gears:

The correct VW coolant for vanagons (and most Eurovans) should have a blue color.

Most other std coolant has a green color.

Some new VW coolant has a red color (I think)

Some new GM coolant I think is red too.

Here is where it gets a little strange. As coolant ages it does change colors slightly. VW may even have charts to tell if your coolant (blue stuff) is OK just from the color.

Hey? what country has a red, green and blue flag? Must be a real cool(ant) place. ;)
