Yes, there are EV Syncros.  I have seen them on the Volkswagen of Australia
webpage. It is at

The Australian Transporter page is at

I am sure they sell EV Syncros in Germany because I also have a  96 or 97
Volkswagen Transporter brochure wich has a small section on the Syncro option.  It
is even in English. I would post the pages from the brochure but I don't have a
scanner.Maybe somebody could help?
BTW this is my first time writting to the list and hope to soon buy an Vanagon
Syncro.
