Did it occur in all gears? I took my Double Cab up Dragon Mountain last night where it was +2C at the bottom and -4C at the top. This gave a good test of mud, fresh ice, ice, snow and fresh snow in a 15 minute period. Going up was mainly in 1st and 2nd gears. The noise was present many times and only occured on the way up the mountain and when I was using the upper RPM range when under load. The noise immediatly went away if I took my foot off the gas. Going down the mountain where the engine slowed the Truck down didn't cause any noise at all. Once at the bottom the noise was back even in third gear as I left an intersection.

The VC does work... quite well actually, as I went up a 45 deg back in 10cm of snow on an ice covered road making "rooster tails" with the front wheels too!

Very puzzeled with a hidden bee's nest somewhere in my Double Cab!
