Subject: clutch problem - internal or external?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hello, I have been having clutch judder for a little while on my '82. The shifting is now becoming difficult and I fear that it's time to replace the clutch and pressure plate. I had the same type of problem on my old '73 and the middle splines in the pressure plate had worn through due to a faulty clutch engaging thingy (I don't remeber the technical term). Anyway, as this is a hydraulic system I have checked to see if there are any leaks and no. I have also checked to see if the system may have air in it but the peddle seems to be moving the the clutch engaging arm on the transmission about an inch or maybe a little more. I do however seem to have about an inch to an inch and a half of free play at the clutch peddle so should I try to adjust some of this out with the master clutch pin (lossen locking nut etc.)?

I also have another headache of green drops under my '86 but if I talk really softly to it the drops will just go away, right???

TIA Bruce
