I want to drive down to saline valley tomorrow.  I called death valley
NP and they said the county has the roads headed into saline valley
listed as being closed and to be traveled at your own risk, and has
listed them as such for months.  the roads are subject to wash outs,
etc. and will not be repaired till spring.


does anyone know what the condition of the roads into saline valley is
or was recently.  I have a syncro and normally would not let such
warnings deter me, but i will be traveling alone, do not take as many
risks alone, have never traveled the northern route and cannot afford to
get stuck out there for a couple of days.


 any info would be greatly appreiated.
