Scott and the list:

Sorry to write "my comments" that sound like harsh barbs toward the EV and it's owners; I was only asking about engine swap options for an early Vanagon Wasserboxer model, with a leery eye toward many reports of the piston-slap problem in early EVs. I am aware that the old Audi 5000 (which, ironically, sounds to my ears like a Wasserboxer) had a 5-lung, with no rep for piston slap, even though it got recalled for a run-on problem.

Therefore, logic dictates that there were several Audi 5-cyl. motors out there, and I just wanted to know which one was in the Bus.

By the way, I have heard of a Turbobus in SA, but didn't see it on their website. Does anyone know of this?

Take it easy, :) Sam
