Subject: Re: Alaskan EV Winnie Rentals
Comments: cc: jspevacek@exc.rochester.k12.mn.us

Hi Ho Spev:

I'm sitting here with the phone book open to RV rentals. I also looked under auto rentals, van rentals, etc. There are lots of vans, campers, and motorhomes for rent...but no EV's. We had some friends come over from the Old Country last summer. They rented a small car to do some road tripping in...very expensive! It was more expensive to rent a car here in Alaska than for us to rent a car in Italy; and Italy's generally thought of as having the highest rates! We looked into van rentals for them before they arrived. The prices were out of control! Many places give discounts for booking several months in advance though. Maybe it's still early enough. Let me know if you need some phone numbers. I called the VW dealer (Joke - HA) here too...Nope. They don't know of anyone renting EV's up here. Why don't you come up and buy one and drive it home?
