Subject: Re: EV oil filter relocation

Has anyone done it on a Eurovan? > Yes, this is exactly what I did on my on my 93 EV GL. I got a pair of hoses (about 4' long), a remote oil filter adapter, and a remote filter mount from the local Aeroquip dealer. Total cost was about $70.

> Will this risk the engine at all? > Only if a hose bursts, I suppose. The hoses I bought looked pretty bulletproof though. In three years, I've had zero problems. And an oil change takes about 10 minutes instead of an hour and a half.

> What should the hose ID be to minimize pressure drops? > I think the I.D. on the hoses were 1/2" or 5/8". The Aeroquip pressure drop chart showed a total drop of only 1 or 2 psig.

Hope this helps,
