Subject: Need some parts from Canada...

I would like to get some of the bits I need to fix up a few things specific to a DoubleCab truck. I have tried, but so far have found no Canadian dealer who will respond and ship parts down to the US. Nor have I found any US dealer willing to order any parts (although the do show up on the fiches, and I can get parts numbers).

If you have a local dealer willing to sell parts and ship them to the US, I'd sure appreciate an number to call.

Barring that, would any of you fine folks from the far north be willing to be a middleman? Any Vanagon-era doublecabs hanging around your local junkyard?

Right now I'm looking for the "Transporter" badge, the hold-down from the front edge of the rear seat, the driver's side small rubber mat from the rear (that goes between the seat-box and the wall). Also interested in some prices on parts -- a set of gate latches, a set of openable rear windows, and the gasoline-fired BN-42 heater setup that was an option in Canada on Syncros.

Anybody?

malcolm (in California)
