The Buzzer is actually controlled by the 1.8 bar switch, (the one located by the oil pump. Try replacing this with a 1.4 bar switch available through VW. It may solve the problem. You should be able to hold better oil pressure though. The engine may be running too hot or you are not getting coolant flow through the oil cooler. Also, in warm weather, the Vanagon should be running 20-50.
