The 1980 brochure describes the colors for the plain Vanagon, Vanagon Camper, and Vanagon L Camper as: Medium Blue, Assuan Brown, or Ivory. It appears from the brochure that the only two tone 1980 Vanagons were the non-Camper Vanagon L. This being the 1st year for the Vanagon, I imagine the brochure went to print before a lot of things were settled. I would guess that the two-tone paint was offered as an option on the basic Vanagon model. Regards, Jim Davis |
