Hey all, Saw a Winnebago Rialta today riding my ass in the middle lane of I-95 here in northern Virginia today. I was driving my '81. I was going about 60, passing someone in the right lane. He came right up on my bumper and stayed there. As I pulled back over to the right lane the road started going uphill. I noticed that he couldn't pass me going up the hill. I was going between 55-60, holding it on the hill with my 2.0L air-cooled (just barely!) and he seemed to be having trouble getting past. He stayed even until the road leveled out and then he passed. They're interesting but too blatently RV-ish for me :-) Not to mention too water-cooled, too front-engined, and too expensive! :-) Oh well, just thought I'd report the sighting. -- Sean Bartnik Fredericksburg, Virginia '81 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia '74 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible http://www.type2.com/bartnik/myvan.htm |
